Laos Wild Dashu White Tea

Autumn Harvest | Assamica | Sun-Dried

This tea is crafted from big tea trees (dashu) in in the untouched mountains of Laos. Harvested in Autumn from large-leaf Assamica varietals, are carefully picked by hand by the Yao. The fresh material is naturally withered and sun-dried, preserving the integrity of the leaf. This minimal processing results in a tea that is both pure yet quietly refined.

In contrast to the fast pace of change in times and the impermanence of all – the ancient energy of the old growth forests remains in each cup. Watch the amber liquor evolve with every infusion, each steep revealing a subtle shift in aroma, and flavour. Each transition, hinting to the terroir, the vegetation and the clay rich soils forming a vivid collage in the forest of your mind. A gentle reminder of annica.

Liquor: Clear, glowing amber that unfolds in a spectrum of amber hues from steep to steep

Aroma: Wildflowers, honey

Taste: Floral and honeyed, naturally sweet, with notes of wildflowers and stone fruit. Fresh mineral clarity and gentle woody depth unfolding gracefully across multiple infusions.
